Background:
I wrote this for my creative writing class a month ago, and I found it too interesting to let it sit on my laptop collecting digital cobwebs.
“Why! Why does this happen to me,” You say as you sit in your living room chair slouched over with tears coming out of your eyes? You think it isn’t fair, it’s not right; your loyal, always loyal. They fired you from your job at the Brain Busting factory; the factory makes all kinds of high sodium and high sugar goodies. You never really cared about processed food, it makes you slow and unfocused, but the public loves it.
Every employee knows that the food is garbage, but they don’t want to speak up of fear of losing their jobs. Always loyal. Always loyal. You stop your wallowing and can’t understand why you lost your position. You were loyal. Always loyal. You’re a work horse; never do you falter.
You get up from your living room chair. You feel the chair before you get up. Made from the finest Italian leathers. A light brown finish and cushioned so comfortability, you can sleep on.
You come back to sit on the chair since you have nowhere to go. You grab your mobile device before you head to the kitchen. It was charging on a small lopsided table. You planned on buying a new one but won’t till the table shatters to a million pieces.
