The albums I loved in a challenging year
I have one rule with new albums: I have to enjoy an album with one listen. I know it’s unwise, but I can only listen to a new album once. The days have been rough this year, and it’s been difficult to hear music. Silence seems better, as the songs will not improve my mood. But whenever I played my favorites, every worry dissipated. Why did I prefer silence?
Being the case, my favorites of 2022 don’t reflect the year’s best. Therefore, I’ll discuss 2022s best music on a separate list. If this list does well, I’ll combine the best albums of the year and my favorites since I enjoyed a few of the year’s best.
