Eruption In Downtown Battle Mountain

In high school in 2014, Friday was the best day of the week. It’s the time my mother, brothers, and I go out to eat. We didn’t incline to the cheap food like Taco Bell or McDonald’s; we wanted quality eats.

We lived in an upscale suburb in Texas. We couldn’t pass it down.

My family and I went to a higher-quality fast-food joint, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. They have some of the best barbecue at such a moderate price. I would always order the three-meat plate with a side of baked beans and mashed potato casserole.

On Fridays, when didn’t eat out, it didn’t disappoint my brothers and me, as we knew our mother didn’t feel like it or was busy. Yet, it’s okay, I’ll settle for a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich with extra Peanut Butter.

By God, it’s incredible I’m alive after all the Peanut Butter I’ve eaten.

After the week restarted, I’ll wait for next Friday to eat out. In the meantime, I had my music.

Every school day, I’ll wait for the bus to take me to the developmental career center, where students can learn valuable skills in the fields they want to study. I had inclinations to become a video game animator since I loved the…
